The Most Beautiful Thing in the World
I've seen a lot of things during my time of travel. However, there have been 3 moments that have left me in complete awe. I like to call these my "Gratitude Moments". During this time I try to sit in complete silence, soak in that moment, and thank God for allowing me to see something so beautiful.
3. Cappadocia, Turkey
I went to Cappadocia in March of 2022. The odds were completely against us because the probability of riding a hot air balloon was super low. The previous 4 days before I arrived, they canceled the activities due to the snowstorms. On my activity date, of course, they canceled it. Had I come all this way just to not experience it?
Well, we lucked up and finally did it the next day! The view was absolutely amazing!
So, if you plan on riding a hot air balloon in the winter, make sure you plan to stay in Cappadocia for at least 3 days.
2. Krugers National Park Safari, South Africa
I spent a week in South Africa for a study abroad trip in college. We visited Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Krugers Park. We spent about 8 hours riding through the safari and it felt like 10 minutes. You're probably wondering what we did for 8 hours. We literally just rode through the safari animal hunting. We took a lunch break and then went back to watching animals in their natural habitat. I'm the type of person who likes to experience things without knowing how long it will be. It makes me appreciate the moment more. This was such a different experience, unlike zoos and I would do it again.
1. Machu Picchu, Peru
My #1 spot goes to Machu Picchu!!! Another 8-hour day that felt like 10 minutes. I couldn't stop staring at this World Wonder. When you arrive there, you can walk through Machu Picchu or take on one of their many surrounding hikes. I did one hike and it made the time go by so fast!
